We regret to announce the unexpected, peaceful passing of Fred Barich on St. Joseph Island on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Husband of the love of his life, Virginia. Cherished father of Laura Barich and Alanna Mandal (Dr. Hugh). Dear brother of Rudi (Jill), Mary Ault, Helen Barich, Ann Rushon, Agnes Glibota (Peter) and George (Barbara). Dear brother-in-law of Roberta Watson (Kevin). He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, hunting and fishing buddies. Fred was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an enthusiastic lover of baseball. In the 1950's he was affiliated with the Boston Red Sox. He spent his earlier life managing and playing fastball in the Sault.
