Obituary of Lena Cerra

After a life of loving her family, our mother, Lena was granted the rest she deserved, passing away in her sleep at ARCH, on the evening of Sunday, May 17, 2015, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Angelo Cerra. Loving mother of Peter (Ann Marie) and Christine (Joseph). Cherished grandmother of Carley (Sandro), Gregory (Sarah), Paul (Erica) and Natalie (Vince). Great grandmother of Leo and Charlotte. Sister of the late Luigi (late Julie), late Josephine (late Frank) and the late Reno (Enes). Sister-in-law of the late Frank (Audrey), late Nick (late Esther), late Victor (Joan), late Mary (late Victor), late Rose (late Al), late Amelia (late Jim), late Angeline (late Heino), Theresa (late Sonny) and the late Clara. Lena was a consummate mother and home-maker, best remembered for her cooking skills and genuine interest in everyone. Attitude was everything to her. She saw problems as challenges, and challenges as opportunities. She had an unwavering faith in God and was a special fan of the Soo Greyhounds. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all of the wonderful doctors and Health Care professionals who cared for her, Dr. Ianni, Dr. Berry, Dr. Shafiee, Dr. Bowen, Dr. Buehner and the Community Care Access Centre. A special thank you to Pathways Retirement Residence for providing Lena with comfort and care during her final journey.
