Obituary of Alice Cannon

Peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at her side at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Michael (Mickey) Bzdell (1969) and the late Allen (Sonny) Cannon (2004). Dear loving mother of Garrett Bzdell (Nicole) of Dubreuilville, Richard and David Bzdell of Wawa and Peter Bzdell (Maren) of Fort McMurray, AB. Proud and caring grandmother of Shelley B. Casey (Eric) of Dubreuilville and Lennea Palsen (Leif) of Fort McMurray AB. Special doting great grandmother of Ashley and Loralee Casey and newly born Freya Ann-Gret Palsen (June 4th). Daughter of the late Ingrid and late Ole Christiansen. Dear sister to Nils Christiansen (Betty), Karl Christiansen (Helen) and Gladys Dereski (late Eddy) all of Sault Ste Marie and Margaretta (Mia) Sokoloski (Bill) of White River, the late Sigurd (late Hannah), late Mildred and late Norman Christiansen. Daughter-in-law of the late Fred and late Anna Bzdel. Sister-in-law of the late Mac Bzdel (late Rose) and (late Stella). Daughter-in-law of the late Philip and late Mae Cannon. Sister-in-law of Robert Cannon (Joyce) of Elliot Lake, the late Lawrence Cannon (late Jeanette), the late Anna-Mary O'Donaghue (late George), the late James Cannon (late Barbara) and the late Shirley Boone (late Bud). Alice will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family are invited to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Benny Kjiersdam. Interment at Woodlands Cemetery in Wawa at a later date. Memorial contributions can be given to a charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to all the caregivers at Mapleview Nursing Home, especially within the Echo Bay wing. As well as the Finnish Rest Home for all the years Alice was in your care. Another special thanks to the staff at the SAH within the ICU 3rd floor for their care and compassion.
