I want to thank everyone for your support and kind words through this most difficult time. When tragedy like this happens, the only way to get through it is by being surrounded by your closest friends and family. I cannot express how thankful I am for everything my friends and parents friends and family have done for us—most importantly just being by our sides. As well, to the friends who I am not always in close touch with, it means so much to me to hear your words and for getting in contact with me during this time. Dad, Life will never be the same without you, not only for our family, but for so many people in this community. You are the single hardest working person I have ever met. This is not only an unimaginable loss for our family, but it is very clear that you had so many friends that will also miss you, your generosity and kind heart, your laughter and your smile; you were the life of the party. You are a gift from God to us all. You were my right hand. My last memory of you will be that you came to our house one last time to help me out, like you have done thousands of times before. You will be greatly missed by us and also your grandkids, John and Thomas. The 3rd baby Jakimik is not here yet, but we will make sure he knows of the legacy you leave behind. Love you always... we will see you again.

On behalf of the Sault Ste. Marie COPA Chapter - Flight 66, I would like to express my deepest sympathies for your loss. Jan was our friend, a member of our pilot association and flight schoolmate at Soo Aviation. I first met him when I started my flight training in 2013. I remember the cheerfulness he brought to the flight training and our social meetings and I can still hear his contagious laugh. He was a great man, schoolmate and friend that will be truly missed.

Jackie, Words cannot express how very sorry we are for you and your family and this tremendous loss. Jan will be forever missed at "E Dock".
