Obituary of Marcel Mathieu

Passed away peacefully at the F. J. Davey Home on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the age of 78. Marcel is now reunited with his wife Therese. Dear father of Claudette Mathieu (Mark Spencer, late Rod Grasley). Cherished Pepère of Scott Grasley and Nicole Grasley (Travis Smith). Son of the late Alfred and Cecile Mathieu. Brother of the late Jeanne McDiarmid (late Willard), John Mathieu (late Armelle), late Beatrice Mathieu, late Phillip Mathieu (Lina), Noel Mathieu (Yvette), late Adelard "Plug" (Pierrette), Leo Mathieu (Noella) and Dan Mathieu (Doris). Brother-in-law of Annette Messier (late Albert), Lucien Allarie (Rosalie), late Albert Allarie (Merdeen,late Gloria,), Denis Allarie (Jeannine), Denise Melançons (late Jean-Guy, late Gaston), Claudette Friend (late Dave), Pete Allarie (late Gloria), Gabrielle Rosenburger (late Terry), late Roger Allarie (Colleen), late André Allarie (Marge) and Carole Martineau (Lucien). Marcel will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. At Marcel's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private inurnment at Holy Sepluchre Cemetery will take place. Memorial donations to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or Davey Home Walkway to Health would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to the staff of the F. J. Davey Home on Birch Lane Unit 1 and Driftwood Beach Unit 1 for all the care and compassion shown over the past 3 years. With a deep sadness we miss Marcel, bound for Heaven on Johnny he'll ride. They will win this race, with his family in sight, gives a kick to Johnny on his horses side.
