Dear family,
I am so very, very sorry to read of the passing of your dear Mom. I must say she was on my heart these last few days and I had the thought of calling Catherine to see if I could go and visit her. I guess now our visit will have to be at a futre date and take place in Heaven.
Findlay Street was a fun place to grow up in the 50s and 60s because we had a lot of kids on the street. Your parents made a good contribution on that front with you all!
Even though my two brothers were a lot older than me by 7 and a half and 10 and a half years, I never felt lonely because of living next door to all of you!.
I can still see myself looking out our diningroom window to the bedroom window at your place; I think it was the girls room at some point but might have been your parent's room at another point.
I remember the milk chute which I crawled in to get into your house more than once. I am not sure why really but I vividly remember doing so.
I remember the miniature pincer dogs.
But most of all, I remember your Mom's very pretty smile, and those blue eyes - what a perfect photo you have on this posting as the photo is a really good likeness and how I remember her.
I can still hear your Mom's quiet voice and her soft little laugh. Thoughts of Mrs. Frech, make up a big part in my childhood memories and I am sorry I did not get to see her in more recent years.
Please know I am thinking of each of you and I must say as I think of both your Mom and Dad and each one of you "kids", I feel very blessed to have grown up next door to the Frech family.
