Obituary of Clara Albanese
Please share a memory of Clara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved mother, mother-in-law, nona and bisnona Clara Albanese (Carlon) on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the F. J. Davey Home. She was the beloved and loyal wife of the late Guido Albanese and devoted mother of Nancy Dovigi (Richard) and Jenny. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren Kevin (Melissa), Chris (fiancé Phylicia Caicco) and Kelly Leith (Gary) whom were her greatest source of strength, pride and inspiration after the death of her husband in 1982. Clara was overjoyed at the birth of her two great grandchildren Andrew and Celia Dovigi whom she enjoyed visiting on a regular basis via Skype. Born in San Marino Di Lupari, Italy she is survived by her sisters Zita, Maria, brother Avio and was predeceased by brothers Ausonio, Franco and sister Dina. Clara will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her life-long friends Meris and Bertilla Zambusi, roommate Tranquila Candido and the many new friendships that were developed over the last two years at the Davey Home. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to ARCH or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. A very special thank you to the amazing staff at the F.J. Davey Home Driftwood 3, especially PSW's, RPN's, kitchen, cleaning, physio and recreational activity coordinators who went far beyond the call of duty and ensured that nona's last two years were spent with all the dignity and respect one could ever ask for. To her neighbours Frank and Eva Bruni, a very sincere thank you for your love, support and generosity throughout the years.
