Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Dear husband of Alice Simon (Hallett). Loving father of Terry Mackey (late John), Lynn Bourre (Mike) and Marnie Dawson (John). Cherished grandfather of Courtney Deschene (Corey), Mathieu Bourré, Erik Bourré, Emma Dawson, Paige Dawson and great grandfather of Dylan Matte and Kyle Deschene. Predeceased by his parents Francis and Jean Simon and Rosa Denommee. Brother of Mad Melnyk (Nick), Jean Skomoroh (Ed), Faye Giroux and Peter Simon (Rose). Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (705-945-7758) on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
