Obituary of Alvin Huckson

Peacefully after a long battle with cancer at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in his 83rd year. He was one month shy of celebrating his 57th wedding anniversary to his beloved wife Ester. Loving father of Tracy (Dave), Stephen and Ann Marie (Tim). Cherished Poppy and Great Poppy of Shanna (Steve), Morgan, Alexander, Kameron and Hayden. Brother of June (late Bud) and Bert (Ramona). He was the uncle to many nieces and nephews and their families. Loyal friend of Jim McMullin (Pat), Sister Margaret, late Bill Parton (Carol) and Bob Grant (late Carol). Alvin enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Squirrel Island, refinishing furniture and helping friends and family. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Gerard Majella Church on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Francis Ezenezi officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or St. Gerard Majella Church Front Entrance Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
