Obituary of Michele Fata

FATA, Michele- Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Maria Fata (Fucile) for 67 years. Loving father of Francis Fata (Denise Samson-Nadeau), Lidia Italia, and Tullio Fata. Cherished grandfather of Fabiana Italia. Son of the late Luigi Fata and Carmela (Pino) of Italy. Brother of the late Francesco Fata (late Carmela) of Italy, late Pasquale Fata (late Carmina) of Italy, and Rosaria Pino (late Antonio) of France. Son-in-law of the late Luigi Fucile and the late Emilia (Longo) of Sault Ste. Marie. Brother-in-law of the late Luigi Fucile and the late Emilia (Longo) of Sault Ste. Marie. Brother-in-law of Francesca Fucile (late Domenic) of Sault Ste. Marie and Linda Giglio (late Antonio) of France. Michele is survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and France. Michele was a life member of the Guglielmo Marconi Society and an avid bocce player at both the Marconi and Soo 48 Clubs, he will be sorely missed by his many friends and bocce players. At Michele's request a private family service was held. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
