Obituary of Sidney Allan Shackleton

Suddenly, but peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, November 28, 2015 after a short illness at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Joan (Young) who passed away May 20, 2014. Dear father of John (Ruth), Lin (Paula) and Donald. Loving Grandpa of Ryan, Patrick, Corey (Brittney Rosenfield), Mitchell and Hannah. Dear son of the late Jonathan Shackleton and Jean Anne Cameron and dear brother of the late Stanley Cameron (late Gladys), Jean Barber (late Myles), Jim Shackleton (Eva, late Mildred), Irene Gjos (late Richard), Anna Beilhartz (late Hugh), Cora Connell (late Lorne), Ernie Shackleton (late Cora), Elsie Clark (late Reg), Ruth Shaule (late Bill) and Margaret Barr (late Worden). Son-in-law of the late Wesley and Charlotte Young and brother-in-law of Linda Young and the late Marilyn VanSteeland (late Bill). Also survived by several generations of nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Desbarats on Thursday, December 3, 2015 with visitation from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Craig Rankin officiating. Interment of ashes at Port Findlay Cemetery. Memorial contributions to A.R.C.H. , the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
