It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Marino Nardini, surrounded by his loving family at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at the age of 88. A kind and gentle man, loved by all and an exemplary role model. Loving husband and best friend of Anna for 58 years. Passionate about his children and grandchildren, cherished father of the late Marina Forbes, Rita D'Agostini (Douglas), and Cristina Nogalo (Mark). Dear Nono of Jennifer, Jordan (Brianna), Michael (Kait), Ashley (Guy), Daniel (Sophie), Matthew (Erica) and Nicolas. Predeceased by his parents Eda and Ennio Nardini. Dear brother of late Emidio Nardini (Rosina) of Italy, the late Joe Nardini (Zena), Gianna Bardovagni (Remo) of Italy. Son-in-law of the late Guiseppe and Palma Rossi of Italy. Brother-in-law of late Luisa Fronzi (late Primo), Nora Biagiarelli (late Mario), late Nello Rossi (late Nella), late Maria Batistelli (late Ivo), all of Italy. Marino will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in Sault Ste. Marie and Italy. His friends and neighbours will look back fondly on the time they spent with Marino and the memories they shared together. Family and friends may visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Gerard Majella Church on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Father AnthonyMary Ibeazor officiating. Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or the Group Health Centre Trust Fund would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the Doctors and support staff at SAH 3B for their exceptional care.
