Obituary of Janet Maliszewski

March 10, 1926 A Bonnie Wee Lass she was. Born at Guelt Cottage, Old Cumnock, Ayr, Scotland. It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we say farewell at the F.J. Davey Home in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on January 14, 2016. We will miss and treasure her memory. Predeceased by her devoted soul mate and husband, Zygmunt Maliszewski; her precious grandson Christian Gaitens of St. Louis, Missouri, parents James and Isabella Carroll; brothers, Patrick & James Carroll; sisters, Helen Jane Young; Isabella White; Mary Ramsay; and Margaret Pinter. A wonderful and doting mother to Frank Maliszewski, Sault Ste. Marie, ON; Jan Robinson (Ron), Sault Ste. Marie, ON; Marlyn Kasten (Kim), Ayden, NC, USA; Ian Maliszewski, Sault Ste. Marie, ON and Veronica Carroll (Beverly), Victoria, BC. Much loved grandmother to Aaron Gaitens (Cheri), Imperial, Missouri; Dr. Faye Guffey (Joshua), St. Louis, Missouri; Michael Robinson (Jae), Sault Ste. Marie, ON; Christopher Maliszewski, Grande Prairie, AB & Jonah Dullaert Carroll, Victoria, B.C. Great Grandmother to Morgan & Caleb Gaitens and Henry Guffey. Janet so loved her adventures travelling and camping throughout the US and Canada with Zygmunt showcasing their prized 1978 VW Westfalia. Many thanks to her incredible care providers, Cedar Grove 2, F. J. Davey Home. The family is grateful to Chaplain Mary-Alice Policicchio for her kindness and compassion. At Janet's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, our family would appreciate donations to the F.J. Davey Home.
