Obituary of Grace Kelly

KELLY, Grace Alice "Gracie" - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gracie at her home on Sunday, March 20th, 2016 in her 68th year. Sister to Roy Spahr (Cathy), late Shirley Godson (Hartley), Jack (Christina), Margaret Cowan (late Robert) and William (late Mary). Daughter of the late Grace and Adolph Kelly. Granddaughter of the late Margaret and Dick Spahr, the late Alice and Jack Kelly. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Gracie was a part of Community Living Algoma and will be missed by her many kind caregivers over the years and particularly by the staff at her Lake Street Group Home. She was a long time employee of Soogoma and retired after a head injury in 2004. When she was younger, Gracie was a frequent visitor to Station Mall, a fan of the Soo Greyhounds and a faithful church goer. She still enjoyed a drive around the city and a special meal out. She is best remembered by many of her younger family for her practice of giving bubblegum to all of the children. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at the Urn Garden Columbarium at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 12:00 noon. A celebration of Gracie's life will follow from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 624 Lake Street. Everyone is welcome to attend. Memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
