I had the honour and privilege of working with Larry during my time at ADSB (as a special education consultant). He was always quick to share a story about the child I was visiting as well as giving that child and his teacher praise on their accomplishments. The education system benefited from his kind manner and great talent as a teacher and a principal. Sending my deepest condolences to his whole family. His smile will be missed.

I give my deepest heartfelt sympathy to Larry's family on his passing. His niece Linda, my best friend of forty-nine years, and I babysat his children many times in our younger years. I worked for the school board as well and had many laughs with Larry over many years. I was privileged to watched him excel as a respected teacher and principal. May all family and friends be comforted by the legacy of the great man he was. I will always hold the memory of our last hug just months ago. I cherish the Rahn and Harris family for taking me into their fold as family. With all my heart, Larry, I thank you. Rest in peace. Love surrounds you.

Donna, We are so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. It was great meeting him during the White Pines dances where he chaperoned as well as getting to know him over the years. Donna, I am so very sorry to hear of Larrys passing. He was my all time favourite teacher and I'm so glad I ran into him a few weeks ago and was able to tell him that. He was such a positive influence on all of his students, always there for all of us kids I will always remember him coming to visit me in the hospital when I had knee surgery the day after grad 8 grad. That meant the world to me. May he rest in peace and you cherish the many wonderful memories you have.

Mr. Rahn was my 8th grade teacher at Greenwood. His sense of humor made learning less of a chore. He kept in touch with my dad and was always interested in how my brothers and I were doing. Thank you Mr. Rahn, for everything. You will be missed.

He taught me at Greenwood Public School and even after my graduating he always cared about my future. Mr. Rahn was an amazing man, mentor, and teacher. He always made me feel better at school. I remember once I was sure I had failed my math test and he could tell by the look on my face that I was feeling pretty low. He made a point of marking it right away and with a big smile showed me the B+ mark. He always made his students feel like they were important and that we could become whatever we wanted. I have seen Mr. Rahn a few times since finishing school and starting my family, he always remembered me and always asked about my brother. He will always be the best teacher I could have had and he will truly be missed. I attended Greenwood Public School. Mr. Rahn was my grade 8 teacher and guided me from Grade 4 on. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope the knowledge of what a truly great man he was brings you comfort. I am a better person for have known Mr. Rahn.

So sorry to hear of Larry's passing. He was my favourite teacher of all. He taught me and 3 of my brothers at Prince Charles, and I was in his class for 3 years. I had the pleasure of running into him in past years and he always asked about my siblings by name and wanted to catch up on their lives. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.
