Obituary of Gerald Lameront

LAMERONT, Jerry (September 17, 1938 - May 26, 2016) - Peacefully passed away with family by his side at the age of 77 years. Loving husband of 32 years to Elaine Lameront and the late Marlene. Loving father of Brenda McLaughlin (Rick), Lisa Gasparotto (Steve), Elissa Holgate (Peter), Sean Holgate (Ruthann) of Oshawa, Ontario, Fran and Rob. Grandfather of Sandra (Darren), Vicky, Thomas, Brad (Meg), Laura (Brodie), Randee, Delaney, Steven, Dustin, Tyler and Dylann. Great Grandpa to Elizabeth, Grace, Daniel and Kelly. Sister-in-law June and Melba and many others out west. Special uncle to Jackie Jones (Henry) of Barrie, Ontario and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special friend of the Colgoves in Michigan. Jerry was a very proud man who loved his country/country gospel music and his guitar which he had since he was 16 years old. He also loved sitting at the locks with his coffee. Everyone who met him loved him. He will be sadly missed by all. In keeping with Jerry's wishes, no funeral services will be held. A private family gathering will be take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or charity of your choice. Special thanks to the Sault Fire Services, Paramedics, Sault Area Hospital Emergency Department staff for all that was done for Jerry. Also thank you to all of the Doctors and nurses that were involved in helping him over the years.
