Obituary of Ernest Skinner

Passed away at home June 2th, 2016. Surrounded by family and loved ones after a long fight with cancer. Beloved husband of Christine Skinner (Hull). Loving father of Ernest Skinner Jr, Marion Billingsley (Josh) and Jon-Wesley Skinner. Devoted Papa to David, Mariah, Ashley and Shannon. Brother of the late Tim Skinner (Jean), the late Laura Wallace, Margaret Skinner, the late Coral-Ann Skinner. Special Uncle to many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Karen-Ruth and Audie Ditschun, Randal and Slavica Hull, David and Yvonne Hull, Warren and Helle Hull, Shelley and Kenny Robinson. He devoted his career to the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department for 34 years and loved his job. After retiring he devoted his life to helping children in need. Ernest will truly be missed by many. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend John Wilson officiating. Memorial donations to Victims in Crisis would be appreciated by the family.
