Please share a memory of Dorothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness but lasting beautiful memories that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Nanne. Dorothy (aged 94) loved her husband of 75 years, the late Rev. Mr. Ted Yadivisiak, cherished her daughter and adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mom in every sense and a wonderful Nanne. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Dawn-Marie Malone (late Bob), her grandchildren, Kelly Grundy (Randy), Rob (Stephanie), Michael (Katie) Malone and great grandchildren Caitlin and Chelsea Grundy, Jenna, Ashlyn, Emma, Declan and Kieran Malone. Dear daughter of the late Vernon and Eva (O'Connor) Lucas. Sister of Andrew (late Margaret), John (late Mary Ann) and predeceased by brothers Cornelius and Lester Lucas and sister Monica (late Leonard) Cloukey. Sister-in-law of Lucy (late Willard) Pomber, Rev. Gerald Yadivisiak, late Vina (late Harry) Dubas, late Gladys (lake Mike) Greschuk, late Jennie (late Walter) Biedka, late Stella (late Fernand) Lavallee and late Edward (late Marguerite) Yadivisiak. Dorothy was aunt to several nieces, nephews and Godmother of many. Dorothy was a devout Catholic and one of the first women in Sault Ste. Marie Diocese to be mandated to the Order of Women and served with Ted for over 30 years the mission churches from Thessalon to Batchawana Bay, as well as Precious Blood Cathedral. She was a long-standing member of the CWL for over 61 years and a Past President of the Blessed Sacrament CWL Council. Her beautiful smile, sense of humour and cheerfulness seemed to captivate your heart. She was always interested in what you were doing in life. Dorothy had a huge heart and was always quick to help others and was devoted to her loving family. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew her. We will remember her for her unwavering devotion, generous spirit and listening ear.
