VAUGHAN, Linda Hazel - Passed away peacefully at home with her husband of 46 years by her side on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 in her 69th year. Dear wife to husband Bob and mother to Kelly Hill (Joshua), Cory and Darren (Diana). She was a blessing to her grandchildren Jonah, Stella, Nash, Jax, Keira and Irish. Linda lived for her grandchildren and will always be "the world's best grandma". Dear daughter of the late Loggy Dinelle and Jean Mick (late Ray). Much loved sister of Mike (late Verna), Pat (Maxine), Bonnie McClenaghan (John), Gail Mick (Bill), Tim (Yvonne) and the late Keith and Joseph. Daughter-in-law of the late Stella and Robert Vaughan and loved sister-in-law of the late Margorie (Ross and Marg Hurley), late Ruby and Ed Gowlett, Fran and Russ Donaghue. Linda will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Sault Ste. Marie and Echo Bay. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends and her love for the Echo Bay community, including serving on town council. She had always enjoyed travel with her husband Bob, including spending time when her kids were young traveling from coast to coast each summer. She had a passion for cooking and loved games of any kind including cards and trivia. Nothing was more peaceful to Linda than sitting out in the gazebo with friends and family while having a drink and watching the sunset. The family's wish and prayer is that one day there will be a cure for this disease that has caused so much pain and heartache to Linda and family. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, July 9th, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 12:00 noon with Mr. George Wright officiating. Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for the staff at the SAH Cancer Clinic and for the wonderful care provided by Linda's visiting nurse Amy. Memorial contributions made to the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
