So sorry to hear about Fred's passing. In the short time I knew him and Audrey, I was inspired by their zest for life and great love for each other. Our thought are with the family during this sad time. I know Audrey is happy to have him by her side once again.

Over the past 20+ years that I have known both Fred and Audrey here in Cozumel, not one time comes to mind when both were not laughing and smiling. Logging hundreds of dives together over the years, I had such respect and love for both of them as dear friends and dive buddies. They were a beautiful, loving couple who lived life to the fullest, enjoyed every day and were always responsible and safe in their diving. Not a dive in Cozumel will go by in my future without thinking of them and their passion for the sea. After the challenge of losing dear Audrey, Fred still came to Cozumel for the winter and managed a smile and lots of laughs but we all knew his heart was aching. Regardless of Fred's sadness, he still radiated his signature positive attitude, quiet confidence and smile. Take comfort in knowing they are together again and most surely are donned in scuba gear, stretched out parallel and finning for the deep blue to see what beautiful marine creatures are just ahead. My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies for all of the Warth family during this most difficult time of loss.

Dear Eric and Jimmy and Family: Eva and I were glad that we had a chance to meet and chat with your dad at the funeral of my own father, now about 3 months ago. That reminded me a lot of how I now remember Fred. He always had a great smile and a definite positive attitude to life, a great conversationalist. Do what you want to do, not what others want you to do seemed to be his mantra and that probably led to his persistent smile. Whenever I (and later Eva) visited the Soo, I always looked forward to meeting Fred and Audrey on Squirrel Island and partying at their camp (though at the time it could be called a "cottage") or home. Eva and I were very sorry to hear of his passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to you and the rest of Fred's family and many friends. Sadly we will not be able to attend the visitation and funeral as we will be in Germany at the time. However we will be visiting Haueneberstein early September and will visit your grandmother Rosa's grave and raise a glass of slivovitz in his memory. He never did explain why he built a two story windmill at home, other than that is what he wanted to do.

To Fred's entire family. In 1987, I was lucky that my uncle(late Nick Alisat) offered me a part time job in the meat department at A & P when I was 16. I met some great people there and one of my favorite was Fred. He worked so hard, taught me a lot, kept me in line a bit and he became a good friend. Work ethic is what I think of the most when I think of Fred. One day he took me scuba diving in the St Mary's River and Audrey drove the boat. I moved away from town years ago and I lost touch with Fred. I am saddened to hear that he has passed away. Rest in Peace Freddy. My condolences to his family. Rob Overman San Diego, CA
