It was far too long since I last spent time with Ted and I'm regretting it now. Ted and I worked together on his graduate studies at UNBC. Bright, upbeat, and kindhearted it was a joy working with him and squeezing in some fishing and other fun along the way. I have many great memories that I will cherish always. My heart goes out to Ted's wonderful family in this very tough time.

I can't put into words the loss I'm feeling for Ted right now. We were close friends in high school. We both went our separate ways afterwards. In those years I've never met anyone with Ted's humour and warmth. Chances are I never will. Ted, you will be truly missed by all.

To friends and family of Ted, I am greatly saddened to hear of Ted's passing. I was on Ted's masters committee at UNBC, and enjoyed the time I spent with him very much. He was one of the most positive and upbeat people I know. He worked very hard, and was the first of several students I had who worked in dendrochronology (tree ring analysis). He was a real pioneer in that area and his work lead to the development of our very successful tree ring lab. I have followed Ted's career over the years and am not at all surprised at the success he has had. I am sure he enriched other people's lives along the way as he enriched mine. My condolences to his family. Kathy Lewis
