Obituary of Louise Konzuk

KONZUK, Louise - Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the F. J. Davey Home on Monday, February 22, 2010 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul. Wonderful mother to Keith (Cheryle) of Regina and Blaine (Nancy) of Bruce Mines. Cherished Nana to Jason (Jackie Simpson) of Canmore, AB, Jane (Mike Wilson) of Burlington, ON, Doug (Jenn) of Cochrane, AB, Julie (Charles Gravelle) of Brampton, ON, Ellie (Dwayne Dobson) of Calgary, AB. Great-Nana to Matthew, Brendan, Maddie and Aiden. Dear sister to Margaret Drescher, late John Clarke, late Bill Clarke, late Christine Jessop, late Edith Bolton and Marie Pigeau. Aunt Louise will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Louise was born in Thessalon on September 16, 1922, the daughter of Alfred Clarke and Elizabeth Clarke (Corbett), both deceased. She held positions at the Public Utilities Commission and Sault Ste. Marie City Hall in her working career. She was an executive member of the local OMERS. Louise was a wonderful, compassionate woman who opened the doors to her heart and home to many family members in need of a cozy bed, warm meal and words of encouragement. She will be sadly missed. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral and committal service at 1 p.m. with Mary Alice Policicchio officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Arthritis Society or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
