Obituary of Anthony Paluzzi

PALUZZI Anthony - It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Paluzzi at the age of 48, after a courageous battle with brain cancer, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice with his family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Angela. Devoted and much adored father of Matthew, Andrew and Briana. Cherished son of Mary and the late Aldo Paluzzi. Dear son-in-law of Anna Mariotti and Isidio Mariotti (Josephine Carter). Special brother of Aldo (Cindy), Adina Rainbird (Jamie) and Vinny (Pina). Dearest brother-in-law of Manuela Febbraro (Lucio) and Linda Mariotti (Yirovy Fernandez). Much loved uncle of Nico, Josh, Kayla, Mitchell, Trent, Luca, Lucas, Mark and Lauren. Anthony will be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours, friends and co-workers. Friends may visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Gerard Majella Church (211 Pentagon Blvd.) with Reverend Francis Ezenezi officiating. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice or the Group Health Centre Trust Fund. The family would like to thank all the wonderful and caring staff at ARCH for truly making Anthony as comfortable as he was and for allowing us to spend all our time with him. Thank you Dr. Keith, and the staff at the cancer clinic, Dr. Balogh, Dr. Kuntz, Dr. Spadafora and the amazing nurses in palliative care. "Puffy" would like to thank all of his coworkers at Essar Steel for making him laugh and giving him memories that will last forever.
