Obituary of Christa DiLanzo

DiLanzo, Christa (nee Kless) - Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital - Plummer Site on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the age of 74. Loving mother of Marisa Rougeau (Anthony), Tony DiLanzo (Martha) and David DiLanzo (Katie). Dear Oma of Tatiana and Zachary. Daughter of the late Klara Kless and the late Josef Kless of Germany. Survived by her sister Ursula Greczmiel (Ulrich) of California and the late Siegfrid Kless (Hildegard) of Switzerland. Christa will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Her stubborness came to good use as she fought hard to maintain her independence and remained at home these last three years. She was well known and respected for her part in creating the non profit organization 'Animal Assistance Group.' Animal rights was her passion. She lived a quiet and simple life helping those less fortunate and expected nothing in return. It was her wish that she be cremated and that only her children and their families gather for a private reunion. In lieu of flowers, Christa would have preferred that a donation be made to the Animal Assistance Group (mail to 29 Elmwood Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6B 4V6). The family would like to thank Dr. Stewart, her nurse Katie, Dr. Buehner, Dr. Bignall, the nurses of the medical day care at the Plummer Hospital, Cindy of Palliative Care for their care and compassion. Special thank you to Ellen Corcoran for her kindness and thoughtfullness. She always looked forward to your visits.
