Obituary of Pearl Harris

HARRIS, Pearl Elizabeth (nee Bedford) - Passed away peacefully in her 100th year at Extendicare York, Sudbury, on June 28,2010, surrounded by her daughter and the 'angels' who work there. Predeceased by her husband, William James Harris, 2002, son Donald Harris, 1991, her sisters, Alice Cote, 2009, Elva Clargo, 1959. Pearl is survived by her sister Dorothy Fletcher of Ottawa (Victor). Also survived by her daughter, Margaret Watson Hyland (Terry Hyland). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Gordon Harris ( Kim) of Gorrie, Ontario, Ian Harris of Sudbury,(Debbie) Rob Watson of Sudbury, and great grandchildren Erika Harris, Kevin Harris, Matthew Harris, Bret Harris, Ryan Watson and Liam Watson. Aunt Pearl will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews as well as her dear friend Niki Hewitt. We will remember our Mother, Grandmother and Aunt for the very capable, organized, small and feisty person she was, leaving us with fond memories, always encouraging us to be fine citizens, to be proud of our country and to have faith in God. Visitation will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 945-7758) on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 1 to 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 3:15 p.m. with Mrs. Joy McPhee officiating.
