Obituary of Settimio Florio

FLORIO, Settimio "Sam"- Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 64 years. Loving husband and best friend of Louisa Florio. Predeceased by his parents Carlo and Anna Florio and Louisa's parents Frank and Christina Naccarato. Dear father of Leeanne Daigle (James), Jamie Florio (Danielle) and Melissa Florio (Franco Cuglietta). He will always be remembered by his brothers and sisters Francesco Florio (late Ida), Ida Filice (Settimio), late Victorio Florio, Peter Florio (Ida), Mario Florio, Guglermo Florio (Maria) and Connie Mammone (John). Brother-in-law of the late Marriane Naccarato (late Ercole), Angelo Naccarato (Yolanda), late Mario Naccarato (Emma), Lena Guzzo (Mario), Dominic Naccarato (Orsalina) and Carmelina DelBasso (Steve). Settimio will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Veronica's Church on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Eric Pannike officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. We would sincerely like to thank Dr. S.
