FRECH, Gary Alwin - Suddenly on Monday, September 20, 2010. Beloved husband and best friend to Arlie for 52 years. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Arvella and his daughter Garalie Young. Loving father of Robert (Carole), Frances Frech, Tracey Vanderloo (Dan White), Chris-andra Nogalo (James) and Betty-Jo Harris (Tom). Proud grandfather of 16; Julie, Devon and Rachel Frech, Tina, Rob and Vicki Taylor, Ashton and Tim Young, Dennis Luck, Troy and Tysen Vanderloo, Michael, Liisa and Wade Nogalo, Mitchell and Ross Harris. Great-grandfather of 10. Dear brother of the late Arnold, Larry (Jean), Wayne (Linda), Gail (Sean), late Sharon, Brian, Bonnie (Lee), Sandra (Howard), Brent (Faye) and Audie (Collette). Brother-in-law to the late Bob (Sheila) and Christine (Murray). Friend and father-in-law to Terry Vanderloo. Gary will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Gary loved his family, spending summers at camp on Nils Bay, most recently a winter break in Cuba and watching his grandkids in sports including 3 grandsons on the Sault Steelers. He always enjoyed hockey and later in life replaced his coaching from the ice with coaching from the stands. He will be missed and always fondly remembered. A "Celebration of Gary's Life" will take place at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. At the family's request there will be a private interment. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The family expresses gratitude to the staff at SAH Emergency Department, ICU at Sudbury Regional Hospital and the flight crew from O.R.A.N.G.E. www.northwoodfuneral.com The Next Room Death is nothing at all…..I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me - let my name be ever the household word that it always was, let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.
