PORCO, Margherita - Passed away after a courageous stuggle at the Sault Area Hospital Plummer Site on Friday, September 24, 2010. Beloved wife of Domenico Porco. Loving mother of the late Luciano Porco, Mary and David Rintoul of Northville, Michigan and Lori and Mike Robertson of Mississauga, Ontario. Dear Nonna of Lauren, Stefanie, Adrian and Kristen. Beloved daughter of the late Ugolino Sdao and Carmina Pirillo. Dear sister of Ida Sdao (late Michele Gagliardi) of Italy, Maria Sdao (Francesco Pino) of Italy, Antonio Sdao (Maria) of Woodbridge, Ontario, Giovanni Sdao (Mela) of Italy, Elvira Sdao (Triestino Mendicino) of Italy, Alfredo Sdao (Gai) of Newcastle, Australia and Cristina Sdao (late Raffaele Gagliardi) of Italy. Sister-in-law of Serafino Porco (Annina)of Sault Ste. Marie, late Emilia Pirillo (Alfredo) of Newcastle, Australia, Flora Furgiuele (lateEugenio), of Newcastle, Australia, Rocco Porco (Maria) of Italy, Ortenzia DiCicco (Giovanni) of Germany, Mario Porco (Noelene) of Newcastle, Australia and Santino Porco (Cheryl) of Newcastle, Australia. Margherita will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She fought a long and courageous battle. Friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Church on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society - Ovarian Cancer Research would be appreciated by the family.
