Aunt Winnie, Mark, Jennifer and Heather, We send our prayers to your family and know that God will be with you. Uncle Floyd was the strong pillar that all our family came to depend on so much. I will always have great memories of times at the lake and at your house and am so thankful he was part of my life growing up. I will miss his great stories and heartfelt, deep caring for every member of the family. You always knew you were loved when Uncle Floyd gave you a hug! I know he will be the first to greet each one of us when we see him again. Love always, Mike, Phyllis (Kahtava) and Luke.

We will certainly miss Uncle Floyd's wit, and his stately Scottish heritage displayed in his speach and mannerisms. Harold and Pat wish to send their condolences and miss not being able to connect with the family in person. My brother Brian and I still remember the time he took us to the ball game! We give thanks for his going home, and look forward to meeting him again. The pictures were great, boy the family has grown, Aunt Winnie must be so proud. May you all rest knowing he is in God's hands.

We light this candle to Floyd's memory - he was a great light in the lives of our family.
Remembered with love and thanksgiving for setting the standard high.
He taught us all what courage is, and will live forever in our hearts.

Aunt Winnie, Mark, Jennifer and Heather, I'm so sorry to not be able to be with you as you pay tribute to Uncle Floyd on Thursday. He was such a wonderful presence in the life of our family. He was such a good friend to Dad and an amazing comfort to Mom over the past few months (and years). I don't have a single childhood memory that doesn't have you all figured prominently. So many "builds" and plans and trips together...I love the pictures you've posted here. They are exactly as I remember him. Always smiling. Always proud of his family.

Floyd was a Giant in our family. Although he would run away from such a statement, he was a Pastor's Pastor. Floyd visited the sick, officiated funerals and was one of Christ's Spiritual Ambassadors, never wanting any recognition for his efforts. He was also a gentle friend, one who could dispense incredible wisdom and counsel to those in need of comfort. Floyd was also an alumni of scriptural thought. Like his father, he had an insatiable desire to know the story behind the story and was able to relate it well to those he ministered to with responsible interpretation. He was a Giant in the church, however humble he chose to be. He was the gentle servant who never thought it below himself to kneel at the feet of his friends.
