Obituary of Norman Sartor

SARTOR, Norman Domenico "Chip" Passed away peacefully and with dignity, surrounded by his family at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Saturday, November 13, 2010. Loving and devoted husband of sixty years to Rosetta (Rose Zappacosta). Dear son of the late Dominick and Isabelle (Zaffini). Dearly loved father of Cheryl of Orillia, Ont., David (Evelyn) of Cowichan Lake, B.C., Norman Jr. and Mark (Deborah) of Sault Ste Marie. Dear Nono of Jason (Emily), Anthea (Rick), Erin, Ashley, Victoria and Devan. Dear brother of Ron (Sandra Sartor) and the late Delores Sartor; son-in-law of the late Amedeo and Ann Zappacosta; brother-in-law of Camillo (Jean and the late Glenda Zappacosta), and the late Aldo Zappacosta; uncle, nephew, cousin and good friend to many. Norm was an avid outdoorsman, Y.M.C.A. member, gardener, great cook, sang in the Lady of Mount Carmel Church Choir and was always willing to help others. He will be clearly missed. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Norm's Life to be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to A.R.C.H. would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
