Obituary of Edith O'Leary

O'LEARY, Edith Kathrine (Gillespie) July 15, 1942 - January 9, 2011 - Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, January 9, 2011. Loved wife and best friend of John for 50 years. Devoted mother of Colleen, Connie (Nick), Ryan (Doris), Jim and the late Brian. Mother-in-law of Sheryl, Bill and Timothy. Dear grandmother of Jonathan, Candice, Mellissa, Zane, Zachary, Wilkie, Conner, Jessica, Brianna, Riley and Keely. Great grandmother of Brady, Bently, Ryland and Kya. Loving sister of her twin Eva Milne (George), Marie Eliott (late Joe), Robert Gillespie (Norma), Evelyn Vye (Del), William Gillespie (Marcy) and the late Christine. Sister-in-law of Jill Milne (late Cecil), Margo O'Leary (late Roger) and James V. O'Leary "Diamond Jim". Fondly remembered aunt and great aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Poog was there for everyone and will be greatly missed. At Edith's request, cremation has taken place. Interment in a traditional native ceremony will be held at Pinewood Cemetery, Hawk Junction, Ontario on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. Special thank you to the nurses and staff of Sault Area Hospital for the compassionate care given to Edith during her sickness.
