FORBES, Roberta Marie (nee Jackson) - Peacefully at Tendercare Nursing Home on Friday, February 4, 2011 in her 85th year. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Wesley Forbes. Daughter of the late John and Esther Jackson. Sister of the late Ethel Jackson, Gerry Shewfelt (Milton), James Jackson (Barb), Shirley Hatten (John), late Mary Ellen MacDonald (Chester) and Dale Jackson (Debbie). Sister-in-law of the late Mildred Forbes, late Elva Forbes, Eleanor Tweedle (late George), Marjorie McEwen (late Donald), late Gordon Forbes, late Duncan Forbes, late Douglas Forbes and the late Bessie McEwen (late Sammie). Special Aunt of Diane Briglio (Michael). Godmother to David Jackson and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Roberta is and forever will be known for her kind heart , gentle loving spirit, her beautiful flowers and as a wonderful baker. Friends may visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 11 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Spring inurnment will take place on St. Joseph Island. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Tendercare Nursing Home Residents Council would be appreciated by the family.
