I would like to send my condolences to the entire family. I did not know Aunt Irene as much as I wish I did, she was my father's god mother and my grandfathers sister. You will be truly missed. My father only spoke kind words of Aunt Irene and it troubles me that I did not get to know her. My heart prayers and mind is with you at this time. Sincerely, Theresa Lannigan (grand daughter of Patrick and the late Dorothy Lannigan)
I would like to express my deepest sympathy particularly to my two nieces Marjorie and Shirley at the passing of your mother my oldest sister. It doesn't matter the age of a mother's passing it is still a loss or void to realize you no longer have a mother around to laugh and share life's joys and sorrows that only a mother can appreciate and understand. As her sister I only reflect and recall the good memories from the time I was a little older than yourselves as a young girl; her laugh, singing in the Volkswagen on the way to St. Joseph Island to pick apples and then have a picnic supper that included a cooked roast and the vegetables she would do on the Coleman stove. This has to be one of my fondest memories. I am sorry I won't be able to attend her services this weekend however she has been in my heart and thoughts for sometime. Our last visit was October of 2010 and we as sisters all sat together at Aunt Patsy's house for dinner: ate, laughed and enjoyed the moment as we knew it would be short lived as five sisters. In a perfect world it would have been nice to have done that throughout our lives as a family. My love to you both and your families and grandchildren. Aunt Sharon
