Ross, John (Jack) William --Passed away peacefully ,on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at London Health Sciences Centre after a short illness from heart disease at the age of 73. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 48 years, Franzis, and his two children, Janet and Ian. He was predeceased by his father Linton Ross and mother Lena Brock, and step-father Ernie Brock. He was the older brother of Morley Ross (Gwen), Linda Pickering (Bill) and the late Bob Brock (Terry). Jack was uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a cousin and close friend to many. He will be profoundly missed by his extended family in Slovenia and his wife's nieces Sonja, Milena, Alenka, Nada and Irena. A graduate of Western MIchigan University, Jack worked for Algoma Steel for 30 years, retiring as traffic manager in 1999. Friends may call Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3 p.m. with Reverend Phil Miller officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario and the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
