SANZOSTI, Elsie - Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Michael Sanzosti for 65 years. Cherished mother of Erma McGuire (Edward) of Plymouth, Michigan. Devoted grandmother of Michael McGuire (Marci), Danielle Prohaska (Allen), Stephanie McGuire, and Peter McGuire (Christine Argenta). Loving Nonni to Alden, Avery and Brennan Prohaska, and Logan McGuire. Born to Daniel and Irma (nee Grosso) Nigris on March 10, 1924. Sister of Mary Tulipani (Alfred). Sister-in-law of Rose Fike (late Herb), Frieda Sanzosti (late Sam), Elvira Esposito (late Salvatore). Predeceased by Caroline Ubriaco (Frank), Assunta Maggetti (John), Emma Tadashore (Arthur), and Frank Sanzosti (Carol). Niece of Vicky Grosso-Fleming. Survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral mass on Saturday at Precious Blood Cathedral at 10 a.m. with Father Hamish Currie officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Frank Ianni, Kathy Palombi, the Bayshore Nurses, and the Red Cross Personal Support Workers for their excellent care and compassion.
