Obituary of Dora Scarfone

SCARFONE, Dora Ann (nee Santana) 1935-2011 Peacefully and unexpectedly, at home in the presence of her children, on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Dora is survived by her husband Eugene Scarfone Sr. Adored and cherished mother of Gene Jr. (Pauline), David (Toni) and Andrea Rose (Tim). Belli de Nana of Carlee, Brianna and Kyle. Loving daughter of the late Frank and Florence Santana and late Tony and Antoinette Scarfone. Loving sister to Dominic (Mary), Rosemarie (late Sandro), Ronald (Sandra) and Frank (Linda). Sister-in-law of Carmine (Joyce), Peter (Linda) and Rosemarie (Jerry). Dora leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and many treasured friends notably the ladies of "The Club" Joyce Scarfone, Pat Offidani, Lena Luciani, Rose Huard, Angela Coyle; predeceased by Rita Pszeniczny, Arlene Candelori and Louise Mattiussi. She was a long standing member of the Princess Marie Jose Lodge and was passionate about her volunteer work. Dora will be forever remembered for her loyalty and loving devotion to her family. She will be sadly missed by her Sunday morning breakfast group. Special thanks to her apartment friends for their watchful eye and compassionate care. She will also be deeply missed by her furry family friends. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Followed by a funeral mass at St. Jerome Church at 1 p.m. with Reverend Hamish Currie officiating.
