Slater, Ann Eve It is with great sorrow that the family of Ann Slater announces her moving on to join her husband Art, parents Fred and Anna Meyers, brothers (John, Ben, Gerry, Mike) and sisters (Mary Manning, Bernna Bauer and Theresa Premo) on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the age of 84 years. She is survived by one brother, Connie, of Kamloops, BC and brother-in-law Clarence Bauer of Sault Ste. Marie. Ann will be lovingly missed by children Sharon Barill (late Gary), Roger (Gail), Doug, Garry (late Dorry), Sandra Slater-Possamai (Shaun Parent), and Mary Speers (Dan). Much-loved Grandmother of seventeen, Kim (Gary), Debbie (Carl), Vickie (Wayne), Lynn, Steven (Nancy), Diana (Bruno), Cathy (Jeff), Scott (Jennifer), Brad (Rita), Greg (Kira), Ashley (Josh), Jeff, Rob (Christina), Joe (Angie), Sherry, Eddie and Rachel; Great-grandmother of eighteen, Great-great-grandmother of one; and Grannie-Annie to many, many others. "Ma, we sure did enjoy that final song on the banjo last Christmas!" Friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 12 noon until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation and inurnment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
