Obituary of Betty Boreland

BORELAND, Betty - Peacefully passed away at A.R.C.H., after a brief battle with cancer, on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the age of 69 years. Beloved mother of Glenn (Lori) and Wayne (Marlene). Adored Gramma to Scott (Marcy), Holly (Daniel), Michael (Ashley) and Keli (T.J.). Proud Great Gramma to Keegan, Nevaeh and Neisha. Betty was predeceased by her parents Dorthy and Johnston and siblings Edna, Gerald, Dorcas, William, Irma, Johnston and Murrel. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Shirley (Ed) and her brother Roy. "Bets" will be greatly missed by Billy, Peggy, Debbie and Colin. Aunt "B" will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Betty will also be fondly remembered by Misty, Chantal and Ashley. Bev and Kristopher are waiting for Betty to show her where her new "bench" is, so she can keep a watchful eye on everyone. She was a dear friend to Phyllis and the gang at "Al's". At the family's request, there will be no funeral service. A "Celebration of Betty's Life " will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m. at 14 Newcastle Drive. She will be taken back home to be with her family in Kirkland Lake at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations to A.R.C.H. or Breaking Away would be appreciated by the family.
