SALUCCI, Venerina - With great sorrow we announce the passing of Venerina Salucci on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Sault Area Hospital in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Elso Salucci. Loving mother of Serenella Catallo (Anthony) and Sabino Salucci (Tracey). Much cherished grandmother (Nonna) of Anthony-John Catallo (Meredith), Ann-Marie Nuzda (Trace), Mathew Salucci (Celina), Lucas, Andrew and Nicolas Salucci. Precious great grandmother (Bisnonna) of Ethan and Kendryn Catallo, Alyvia and Graison Salucci. Daughter of the late Ercole and Gina Gargamelli. Sister of the late Lino Gargamelli (Tina), Tersina Giangolini (late Pino), Maria Marotesi (late Venerino) and Silvio Gargamelli (Antonietta). Cousin of Delia Greganti and Giuseppina Minelli. Venerina will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and close friends. Mom's great love was cooking for her family. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 1 p.m. with Father Michael Williams officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke of Ontario or the Sault Area Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family. Thank you to Dr. Ianni and Dr. Mathew and the 3rd floor nursing staff at the Sault Area Hospital.
