Obituary of Shirley Godson

GODSON, Shirley Grace Louise (nee Spahr) - Peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the age of 78. Loving wife and best friend of Hartley for 58 years. Much loved mother of Leslie (Marta), Brenda Butler (Phillip) and Marnie Sedegren (Garry Levesque). Gone to join her beloved son Richard in heaven (wife Peggy). Shirley will be very sadly missed by her nine grandchildren; Jesse (Tina), Lindsay, Michael (Sheila), Daniel, Hillary, Dustin, Leigh, Geoffrey and Chloe. Very special great-grandma to Destinee who was the apple of her eye and brand new great-grandson Oakley whom we are all so grateful she had the opportunity to meet. Sister of Roy Spahr (Catherine), Jack Kelly (Chris), Margaret Cowan (late Bob), Grace Kelly and Bill Kelly (Mary). Sister-in-law of Helen Godson. Shirley will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. At Shirley's request there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Easter Seals or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
