Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the F.J. Davey Home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her loving husband James Stirling (Jim). Dear mother of James Currie (Viivi) of Ottawa, Dan Currie (Belinda) of Ottawa, Jack Currie (Debbie) of Kemptville, Anna Dupont (Andre) of Sault Ste. Marie and Pam Marshall (Darryl) of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear Mom to Mary Ann. Cherished grandmother of; Jessica (Martin), Adrienne (Nick), Victoria, Paul (Kristi), Kaitlin (Brian) and Mihkel. Treasured GG of James, Benjamin, Wyatt, Emmett and Miriam. Ruth will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and the Currie family. A private family graveside service was held. Memorial donations made to the Ontario Finnish Rest Home Kotitalo or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
