Please accept my deepest condolences for a great friend. I always enjoyed being around JP's knowledge and kind heart. Even though we have been a little disconnected over the past few years, we had many fun and creative moments in Toronto at work and at play. I sure loved our "collector meetings" at the many gun/militaria shows. He can sure throw a good BBQ together. Rest in peace brother. The Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME) and fellow tradesman, friends and family lost a valuable member. Arte et Marte (By skill and by fighting--RCEME corps motto)

To the family of JP Menard, I am very sorry for your loss.
I had the opportunity to work with JP on a case in Toronto this past spring. We needed a lot of help from him, but he was invariably patient, smart, and funny.
I'm very glad to have had the chance to meet JP.

I am sending a prayer to all of JP's family at this very tough time. I had the pleasure to know JP for almost 25 years having met him through my brother who was in the military with him in the Soo. Although this is a sad time, I will always remember JP as the guy who was always fashionably late, someone who was a great cook, someone who loved to tell stories, and as someone who was a gentleman down to the core. I had the opportunity to meet up with JP a couple of years ago as he took the time to give me and my husband a tour of his work. He was busy, but never too busy for friends or family. JP you will be greatly missed.

To the JP Menard family: So very sorry for your loss. We met JP when he was in Alberta hunting and have been with Phil, Sherry and Keith in the last few days. May all the wonderful memories you have help you through these very hard times in the days ahead. You are in our thoughts and he really was an amazing cook as he cooked dinner for us at the hall 2 nights before he passed. We truly did enjoy his company.
Deepest sympathy from Lee and Gladys Davis from Alberta

Mrs. Menard (I still can't call you Carol), Jeanette, Kirtland
I was shocked to hear, and can only offer support from afar, but keep you in my thoughts.
JP was a friend that always made a difference and routinely comes up in conversation - especially when talking about maple wine
I had hoped to meet up at the reunion next year, but i'm sure we will all toast to him and live with his memories
