Obituary of Eda Euale

EUALE, Eda- Peacefully, surrounded by love, Eda Euale went to heaven on Friday, December 23rd, 2016 at the age of 92. Eda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and Nana. She was a devoted Catholic spending many hours at St. Gregory’s Church where she was a charter member of the Catholic Womens’ League (CWL). Eda spent the last months of her life watching the ships go by and ducks swimming in the bay at Pointe Louise at her son John’s home. Eda has joined her husband Secondo (Sam). Eda will be missed by her children Vi (Ron) and John (Bev). Adored Nana to Dawn Melchiorre (Mario), Kevin Krmpotich (Lisa), Lori Matthews (Dean), Lisa Caruso (Kevin) and Jennifer Alberta (Jay). She has made wonderful memories with her great-grandchildren, Sam and Matthew Krmpotich, Ashley and Christian Matthews, Mia and Ava Melchiorre, Johnny and Kaeden Defrancesco and Sam and Nick Caruso. Predeceased her parents Antonetta and John Cucullo. Eda is survived by her sister Mary Giovanatti (late Harvey). She has been reunited with her sisters Jean Weihers and Emma Bouchard (Peter). Eda is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Gregory’s Church on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Alex Saurianthdathil officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Gregory’s Church would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the Great Northern Retirement Home, Mapleview Nursing Home, and Drs. Spadafora and Bragalia. A special thanks to the palliative care team, Marnie Hunter, Rita Mannarino, and Ilena Robertson who helped care for her at home.
