Obituary of Gregory Lindsay Corran

Tragically as a result of a snowmachine accident on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Greg was best friend and soulmate to Nancy (nee Scott) and his 4 legged pal Ebony. Son of the late Verna and David Corran. Father of Tara Corran (Richard), Shawn Socchia (Andrea), Shannon Vit (Michael). Proud Grandpa of Chase and Aria Socchia, Ainsley Smith and Gabriel Vit, predeceased by baby grandson Michael Vit. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Verna Dear (late Gerald), late John (Shirley), Alfred (Patricia), Marian Slagel (late Earl), Norman, and Dawn Morden (Tim). Special fun loving son-in-law of Esther Scott (late Wilfred). Much loved brother-in-law of Heather McLeod (Stan), Billy Scott (Lil), Holly Berthelot (André), Patsy Jourdin (Brad), and Maryann Scott (Pat). Uncle Greg will be missed by his many nephews and nieces. Greg worked at Essar (Algoma Steel) in the Cokemaking Department for almost 30 years with retirement plans for 2017. He worked with a lot of great guys and has so many good friends. Greg enjoyed helping his many friends with construction projects on the lake or wherever he was needed. He was a perfectionist in anything he built. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends, followed by a few beer in his man cave at their home on Echo Lake. We have so many great friends there are just too many names to mention. However I would like to say a very special thank you to Heather and Laurie. Our sincere gratitude to first responders, Devan, and the OPP. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Greg’s life at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday, January 2nd, 2017 from 12 noon until time of service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions made to A.R.C.H. or Echo Lake Road Commitee would be appreciated by the family.
