My condolences to all family. I can only imagine the grief that each of you must be feeling. Todd was a friend of mine going back to our youth, and left me with many memories that I've been able to warm my heart with throughout the years. I don't think I can direct words that will properly honour Todd because language is so one-dimensional, when compared to the wealth he offered in person.
Belonging. Todd made me feel I belonged in this world. He didn't seem to follow a pecking order. Being around him always felt right. Complete.
Integrity. An icon in my life for the demonstration of integrity. In my experiences, Todd never strayed far from his principles. I knew what he stood for and could rest with that reality.
Clarity. And keeping in mind of the raging teenage years where clarity was in short supply. But Todd was clear. As crazy as we got and all the nutty things that mining towns can bring to growing up...he stayed crystal clear in friendship. I've never had a problem figuring out who Todd was.
Comfort. I haven't seen Todd for many years (Cam's 40th), but even so he has popped up in my thoughts throughout my life. There was a no-threat policy to his very self. If only we could clone him, humanity may have a chance (cheers Bud).
Todd painted a beautiful canvas in my mind. I'm fortunate to be able to return to it throughout my life. Wishing the whole family peace and togetherness at this time. May each others' company help you find peace through the sorrow and loss. Sylvia we've only met once, but I could see how much you both cared for each other. I wish you strength in your moments going forward.

I was so shocked to hear the news of Todd's passing when my mom called to tell me she saw it in the paper. I don't think it has really sunk in yet. He was so young....only a year older than me. Too young to leave this world so early. Although I hadn't seen him in a very long time, I did hear updates through the grapevine and remember fondly all the good times spent at Lake Agnew as kids as well as the best Christmas Eve's ever at the Burden homestead. Rest in peace, Todd. To the rest of the family - my deepest condolences as you all deal with this tragedy. My thoughts are with you all.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Burden Family. Too many great times at Agnew Lake to list. When ever you visit Todd and Sylvia's you are always greeted with a smile and open arms. Something that started with the parents and has been passed down to each generation. I will miss our yearly game of horse shoes. A good competitor and a better friend.
