Obituary of Clare Bovingdon

On Friday January 6, 2017, at the age of 82, Clare passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Predeceased by her husband Bob. Much loved Mom of Lynn Jobst (Mark), Tim (Carrie), Allan (Pierrette), late Bev Boreland (mother-in-law of Glenn Boreland and Lori Trahan), Cathy Ingram (Dale), Donna Ziegelman (Lorne), Eleanor Sawatsky. Step-Mother of the late Judy Johnston (Bob). Mother-in-law of the late Danny Hilderley. Clare’s Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart: late Rebecca Jobst, Rachel and Jesse Moxam (Ivy and Sawyer, who endeared her with the name “But-Bunna”), Mark Jobst, Allison Bovingdon and Dylan Connolly (Brinley), Craig and Colin Bovingdon, Lindsay Bovingdon and Bryce Grimard (Emersen), Karley and Kaylin Bovingdon. Scott Boreland and Summer Chillman (Addie), late Kristofer Boreland, Holly Boreland and Daniel Olma, Sonja Leslie, Andrea Strachan, Jeremy and Julie Strachan (Vanessa, Konnor, Kiera), Brianna Langevin, (Peyton), Bobbi-Jean Leslie, (Anthony, Brittani, Tyler), Steven Burns (Mitchell, Morgan), Dawn and Tony Santoro (Justin, Roger, Joseph and Devyn) and Bobby Johnston. Clare was predeceased by her parents Tom and Edith Morrison (nee Montgomery) and her only sister Eleanor. Daughter-in-law of late Morton and Lucy Bovingdon (nee Scott). Sister-in-law of Doug Fraser, Bill and Eva Bovingdon, predeceased by Jim and Tiny Harten, John Bovingdon, Kathleen and Ab Morley, Lucy and Clifford Johnson, Lily and Ben Cushley, Betty and Ernie Crack, Mel and Frances Bovingdon. Our many cherished memories will remain with us forever. Friends may call at NORTHWOOD FUNERAL HOME CREMATION and RECEPTION CENTRE (942 Great Northern Road, Sault Ste. Marie, ON 705-945-7758) on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
