Obituary of Domenico Porco

Suddenly on Thursday, February 23, 2017, Domenic left us to reunite with our beloved mother, Margherita. He missed her dearly these past six years. Beloved father of the late Luciano, Mary (David Rintoul) and Lori (Mike Robertson) and loving Nonno to Lauren, Stefanie, Adrian and Kristen. Born in Serra D'Aiello, Italy on October 22,1931 to Rosaria and Salvatore Porco. Brother to Serafino (Annina) in the Sault; late Emelia, Flora, Mario and Santo in Australia; Ortenza in Germany and Rocco in Italy. As well, he leaves many sisters and brothers-in-law living abroad; Antonio (Maria) Sdao in Vaughan; and many nieces and nephews living here and abroad. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, March 2nd from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at St. Gregory's Church, followed by a private interment. Memorial donations to Sault Area Hospital or Ovarian Cancer Canada are graciously accepted. A special thank you to John Fuselli whose friendship our father cherished and who was always there for him. Heartfelt thanks to first responders and the ER team at SAH for their care and compassion in trying to save our father's life. When someone is taken suddenly, it is a reminder to each of us to live each day to the fullest, all by the grace of God. Rest in peace Daddy.
