My sincerest sympathy goes out to the passing of Mr. Brescacin. As a primary school student at Our Lady of Lourdes I could say that Mr. Brescacin was a well disciplined teacher, musician, and athlete with a very good sense of humour. Ron would go out of his way to help provide the best of advice and guidance for his students. Mr. Brescacin was true to his profession. May he rest in peace.

I have such fond memories of Ronnie. He taught me how to build a lean-to and fire to survive in the wilderness. We fished for our supper and shared stories and songs around the camp fire. He was always a generous host and a fun-loving, bubbly guest. He's the only person I know who could lie on the kitchen floor and take a 10 minute power nap with no alarms, only to wake up invigorated and ready for what ever came next. When I think of Ronnie, I think of his smile, his giggle, and his bear hugs. He was genuine. He was loved.
I am so sorry for your loss.

We will all miss Ron Brescacin.
He was a man who left his mark on this world and through his efforts left our world a better place. He was Og Mandino's 'Rag Man'. During his many years of teaching and nurturing character among these developing youth- each year Ron would look for those who lacked personal self esteem and plan ways to work with these Needy youth to build them up and grow them to wholeness. He was truly an angel sent to rescue these struggling students. Most of the students Ron nurtured went on to be successful leaders and contributors to our society.
Thank you Ron for changing our world. I'm sure you were guided by God and now you are with Him in heaven.
We will miss you, but never forget you !

Louisa,
My sincerest condolences to you and the girls on Ron's passing. The video tribute online that I just watched is a really moving tribute to the legacy that Ron leaves. Not just a beautiful family but a truly extended family that included many, many people that are not just related by blood but related by love.
The times that I had the pleasure to meet Ron and spend time with him were measured by quality rather than quantity. Those times Ron always made me feel very welcome in his home and with his friends and family. His talents went far beyond what people saw on the surface. I am confident that he has passed his love of life and all of his talents on to the girls and to many around him. There is no better legacy.
I will be thinking of you today.
God Bless.

Dear Louisa and Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathies. You, Ron and your family have always been so hospitable when we came home to the Soo for a visit. For me Ron epitomized what was like growing up in the Soo. Pure and clean, gentle and kind, strong, adventurous and rugged, warm, caring and optimistic. He was generous to those around him. I’ll miss his talent, wisdom and humour (and Geraldine Jones). He was a great man and we will dearly miss him. I will cherish the wonderful memories of him always. God bless you all now and always.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I will always fondly remember Mr "B" he was my grade 6 teacher back in 1976, he was so much fun as a teacher. I remember him taking us camping at blue berry hill tent and trailer park, and in the winter going snow machining at his home in Goulais. And of course once I had children I did run into him again at Camp Korah. I even recall running into him many years ago when his daughter and my daughter were taking itlalian lessons lol . From an old original St. Mary's buddy, Ron was a gentle spirit, and just a great all around man. We saw each other every now and then over the years and every time we met, Ron always greeted me with a smile. Oh the memories from the 60's of the school on the hill, and all our old class mates. Rest in peace old chum, be sure that the good Lord will welcome you into Heaven, and the real St. Mary, the mother of Jesus will greet you with her smile, and say welcome home Ron aka Mr. B.

Dear Louisa and family,
We are truly saddened to learn of Ron's passing. Ron was a wonderful person whose generosity, kindness, and compassion touched so many, many lives. Ron (often anonymously) gave to the needy and provided support to those who hurt. He helped so many students at risk with love and caring. Ron was truly a good, good person who has left a positive legacy. Often, my own students would tell me that "Mr. B." was their favourite teacher. (My own daughter told me that.) Ron was a beautiful colleague who made a difference to me, too. We will miss him.

Dear Louisa and family
Our heartfelt condolences on the death of a truly gifted and good man. My memories of Ron go way back to a time he visited my mom and dad. We were family friends. His parents and brothers and sister were well acquainted with my mom and dad and of course my brother and me. Later I taught with Ron at Sister Mary Clare and came to appreciate his humour and his stories. We would talk about the old times and how things had changed. I enjoyed my time with him at Camp Korah. He loved teaching outdoor education and the students had a true learning experience. Meeting you and having a family became the highlight of his life. He would talk about how very blessed he was. The last time we talked we were planning the sister mary Clare reunion. He told me then how very proud he was of Tiziana and Erica.
I am sorry that I did not get the opportunity to see him and talk with him during his illness. I thought of him often.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and hearts as you grieve the loss of a well loved husband, father and friend.
