Obituary of Jessica Chantel Pilot
Please share a memory of Jessica to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
PILOT, Jessica- With profound sadness we mourn the passing of our dear daughter, Jessica Chantel Pilot, age 22, who entered into eternal peace on April 5, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with addiction. While we are deeply saddened to see her go, we are relieved that her struggle has ended and she is now at peace.
She grew up a happy spirited child with a love for family, camping, the beach, soccer, baseball, reading and journaling. She was a kind and caring soul. She touched so many people and always encouraged them to do their best even in her times of great struggle. She was quick to laugh and loved her family and friends with all her heart.
She leaves behind her mother Chantel LaFleur, her father Robert Pilot, and her beloved sister and best friend Danielle Pilot, grandparents Mike Jackson (Suzanne), and the late Jeannette Jackson(LaFleur), Romano and Emilia Pilot. She also leaves her special aunts Paulette Roberts (Terry),and Lori Pilot, and uncle Bentley LaFleur (Marilyn), and many great aunts, great uncles, cousins and close friends.
A private family service took place at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to ARCH Pediatric Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated. Special thank you to ER, ICU and all nurses and medical staff at Sault Area Hospital.
Hey, you guys, don't feel guilty,
It was just my time to go.
I can see you're all feeling sad,
I can see the tears still flow.
My life's journey ended early,
The path I chose was short.
You all tried your best to change it,
But in the end it was for me to sort.
I know I caused you sadness,
I know I caused you pain,
But I was captured by these demons,
They wouldn't set me free again.
They took away my freedom,
They took away my choice,
And when they got their hooks in,
You could hear it in my voice.
There were times I tried to fight them,
There was a time I nearly won,
But they came back and overpowered me,
I had nowhere left to run.
I haven't really left you guys,
I am closer than you know,
I will be the whisper in the wind,
I will be everywhere you go.
One day you will all forgive me,
One day you will understand.
And when your time on earth is done,
I will be waiting to take your hand.
