Obituary of Karen Diane Hooper

Born December 28, 1953 in Moncton, New Brunswick.  With open hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, Diane Hooper at Sault Area Hospital on May 26, 2017, following her battle with lung disease. Our mom was a free spirit who, like her beloved father, Bud Hooper during his life, had a great love of books and music, second only to her love for her family. Forever remembered by her six children; Meghan Burns (Adam), Jaime-Leigh Burns, John Hughson Jr., Victoria Hughson (Shaune), Carol-Ann Hughson (Billy) and Kayla Hughson (Aaron). Proud Nana to Emli, Nikkilis, Gray, Hunter and Colton.  Daughter of Charlotte Hooper and beloved sister of Patti Manchester, Tony Hooper, Charlene Henshaw and Barbie MacLeod. Together with her long-time friend and companion, Denis Poitras, our mom spent many of the last years of her life enjoying the outdoors and carrying with her a profound sense of peace and love for all. Remembered fondly by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, our mom will be celebrated with a memorial service at a time when family and friends can come together to honour her life and share in her memories.  We carry you with us always, mom.
